Elko and I went to herding training again today.
When the other dogs turn is over they wander around...
But as you can see, Elko just stands at the fence and does not want to do anything else but get in there with the sheep.
In the last photo you can see he actually bit the fence in frustration of being outside the pen!
He jumped in to cool off his feet and take a drink as it is getting up into the 80’s in the valley now.
He also has figured out how to open the front door when he is outside. But, just leaves it open once he comes in as if "he had grown up in a barn.”
We will be rattle snake version training him as soon as we get scheduled. http://socalrattlesnakeavoidancetraining.com
One training session and our last dog avoided and alerted us to at least four rattle snakes right up until the end at 11 years old.
The training stuck for 10 years. I can’t say enough good things about these guys.
