Our Canine Clan
Sparky is a Mcnab collie: Black & white, medium smooth coated, pick of the litter. Out of our matriarch, full Mcnab female, Holly, and by Riley, Mcnab border collie - a master of cattle. As a working dog, Sparky has the heading traits we seek for in working cattle. He will fetch and hold the cattle, keeping them collected until he is called off. He has bite when needed and speed with stamina. His offspring are proving to be good all around ranch/ Farm stock dogs.

Roscoe is out of our own Zoe and by Hagens Ranch Rowley. Roscoe's has all old ranch McNab stock dog breeding through Ira Reeds lines and the Goldsmith line is heavy in Zoes lineage. Roscoe is my husbands go to working dog for his cattle operation. He has a biddable temperament , good balance and friendly disposition.Medium sized, slick hair coat and athletic as they come!
True Grit son of True Blue and Kona is a blend of all our best ranch dogs in one. He has enough sensitivity to want to please and plenty of grit to get after the cattle when needed. His offspring will make nice all around ranch and companion pets or working dogs.
Buckwheat is an old fashion style stock dog, exhibiting the sable coat color that comes from the collies of old heritage. Very rare to see this in the McNabs, but dont let it fool you, as the color genetics DNA proves it is there and is recessive.Buck has good bone , deep cat footed ,strong herding instinct and typical sweet loving nature. He is suspicious of strangers and will protect what belongs to the family farm and home.
Sheila is a very alert and active companion, as well as a very loyal and obedient dog. Always willing to please and if she lets you down she appears disappointed with herself. Her coat is always very brilliant. She is so full of love and very fun to watch her interact with other creatures – her lightning speed would be a real plus as a herding dog.
Jasper has recessive traits that I decided to keep to add back in to our gene pool as she demonstrates some unusual characteristics ,such as; shorter hair coat with a red/tan saddle . She has a very keen nose and loves to hunt game. Best of all is her herding balance is perfect for working in a corral as well as in the field. And she is very loyal and loves to please. For our purposes she is perfect for long distance cattle gathering as she is untiring.
